Uses:-
Used as an acidifying agent, buffering agent, solvent, vehicle, flavoring agent, used in ophthalmics and otics. Used in manufacture of acetic anhydride, cellulose acetate, vinyl acetate monomer; acetic esters; production of plastics, pharmaceuticals, dyes, insecticides, photographic chemicals, food additives; solvent reagent. Used with thymol as a fumigant to reduce postharvest brown rot and blue mold rot in cherries.
